Ravinder Kang (Rav) has taught at Highline Community College since 2001. He teaches computer classes including computer programming, and Web Development.

Prior to teaching at Highline Community College Rav taught Master level program in Systems Analysis at Coventry University, UK. He has over 10 years of industrial experience, working in various organization (Cadbury’s, Tarmac, Ascension Software, and Spicers, UK) as a Programmer, Systems Analyst, Customer Systems Executive, and Technical Author.

His education includes a BSc(hons) in CIS and a MSc in Logistics from Central University of England, UK. He also holds a City & Guilds in Teaching (London) certificate. In addition to teaching Rav designs and maintains website for small businesses, and has reviewed numerous programming text books

I am here to assist you in achieving your educational and learning process.

My philosophy of teaching includes:

1. Ensuring that everyone is treated equally.

2. Believe that your success is based on real life experiences hence will ensure that this is put into use both in and outside of the class.

3.  Having over 10 years of commercial experience, and constantly doing consultancy projects for numerous industries, I am a firm believer that team work is a fundamental part of  real world success, hence project-oriented approach to teaching is a key aspect in my teaching.
